This means what you have left will be a lot less- even thick hair can look a lot thinner in this style

1- Do not overuse hairspray and make the hair look stiff! Prepping products will be what helps the hair hold- if you rely solely on hairspray at the end your work will look stiff and stuck together

2- Once you have finished curling and brush through your waves take a few steps back and look at your client. Whatever your eye is drawn to needs to be fixed. I will always twisty blowdry over a tong set to make it look softer and more airy

3- This may raise eyebrows but I will never use firm hold hairsprays on waves. I would only use a flexible hold hairspray. Firm hold hairsprays should be kept for sleek looks, flexible hairsprays enable the hair to move and still provide hold
